What's in a Name?

It's a rather dreary Monday in my neck o' the woods, y'all.  How about you?
But despite the dreariness, it's still a lovely Monday!

How was your weekend?  And how fares your NaNo-ing?  I'm struggling on that a good bit, but I feel like I'm doing what I can.  Just don't look too closely at my wordcount. . .  {And I gotta say it's so fun to be a part of the Pen Dragons, a Google Hangout, hosted by the ever-lovely Christine.}

As you can see---quite obviously---I failed to post some writerly words of wisdom last Friday, but all's well.  I just wasn't able to draft one in time and have it ready, and my weekend was pretty full up with family & football (Go Vols! and Titans! and Pats!).
But here I am, and with a loverly batch of English rareties.  :]

M | English

From an English surname, derived from the Old English word fenn, meaning "marsh, fen."

F | English (rare)

Meaning unknown.

English (rare)

Variant of Amyas, whose meaning is unknown though perhaps a derivative of Amis, ultimately derived from Latin amicus, meaning "friend."

F | English (rare)

A variant of Onneli, which could possibly be derived from Onni, meaning "happiness, luck" in Finnish.

Have a marvelous week, dear hearts!
I've got a great set of posts coming your way:
Be on the lookout for some up n' comin' book reviews, a little bit of uplifting encouragement, and the newest linkup in Christine's Know the Novel series!

    1. Thanks, girlie! So do I, they are rather unique. :D

  2. It's very rainy and dreary here too, though I'm quite liking the coziness of it. Great writing weather! Hehe.

I'm sorry you're struggling a bit though with the writing. But it's really not about that wordcount, but just finding a bit of time each day to respect your dream and make a little progress on your novel that deserves to be written. And that is EXACTLY what you're doing and I think it's wonderful. Every single word is progress. You're doing great! <333 (And the Pen Dragons have been so fun! Except I've been terribly absent lately. GAH. Time has been eluding me as of late. >.>)

Okay but THESE NAMES. I literally just added every. single. one to my list of potential character names I keep. I am completely in love with ALL of these! You are the master at name finding!

    1. Yes! Definitely PERFECT weather to snuggle up & write (or read!).

Thank you, dear Lauri! You're kind words are so uplifting. I've had to tell myself exactly that the past two weeks ;D Your comment just made my day!

Great! I'm so glad you like them so much! That's what these here posts are for! Awww, thanks, m'dear *^ - ^* <3 <3 <3

And each must make, ere life is flown,
A stumbling block or a stepping stone.
