What's in a Name?

It's a new week, my lovelies!
How's your Monday progressing?  Today marks the halfway point of January - WUT?? And also my little brother's 22nd birthday.  :]

In my attempt to accomplish my goals/dreams for this year, I give to you a new set of names!
Enjoy.
Jarran
M | English (modern), Hebrew
JAIR-ann (possibly)

Possibly derived from Jaron, either an invented name most likely based upon the combination of Jarred and Darren; or a variant transcription of the Hebrew name Yaron, meaning "to sing, to shout."

Wren
F | English (rare)
REN

From the English word for the little songbird.  It is ultimately derived from Old English wrenna.

Rían
M | Irish, English
RIE-ǝn, or REE-ahn (possibly)

The Irish form of Ryan.  The given name Rían possibly means "little king."

Jorah
M or F | Biblical, Biblical Hebrew, Literature, Near Eastern Mythology
JO-RAH, JOR-ah

Ultimately from Yorah, a Hebrew name which allegedly means "autumn showers."

  3. Ooh, these are all great! I like the spelling of Rian. I've been thinking about using that name for a character in one of my books. Thanks for these awesome name posts!

To each is given a bag of tools,
A shapeless mass, and a book of rules,
And each must make, ere life is flown,
A stumbling block or a stepping stone.
