What's in a Name? || Surname Edition!

Happy Monday, all!
Our King lives!!

Hope you all had a lovely Easter with your family & friends.  I got to dress up my little boy in a little blue button-up shirt, jeans, suspenders, Woody's boots, and his newsie cap.  He was ADORABLE (if I do say so myself.)  But alas, no photo. . . *FACEPALM*  I'm determined to fix that---he'll certainly be wearing that outfit again. ;D

But anywho. . . I've decided to share a surname post every third or fourth Monday of each month.  As per request (Sarah R.!), this set features German names!  There were so many unique ones, I had a hard time choosing which to share today, so I'll definitely be featuring German again in the near future.  :]

Enjoy!

  1. Oooh, a surname post every month! YAY. I love this idea! And these are all great ones. I especially like Jaeger. The way it sounds AND its meaning just begs to be the surname of a fantasy hunter! :D

  5. Okay, I could totally see myself using Adler in a story. I've never thought about it as a first name before, but it sounds so cool!!

  6. Yes! I've never thought of it that way either, but I could certainly see it as a first name. Actually, the first thing I think of when I hear it is the character "Irene Adler" from the Sherlock Holmes novels & films. :D

    1. Same! I though of her, too. :) (Love those movies!)

To each is given a bag of tools,
A shapeless mass, and a book of rules,
And each must make, ere life is flown,
A stumbling block or a stepping stone.
